1. Local-First Processing
TipsAlert is built on a "Local First" philosophy. This means that the core functionality of detecting, processing, and displaying tip alerts happens entirely on your local devices (your Android phone and your Desktop computer) within your local network.
2. No Cloud Storage
We do not operate a cloud platform for tip processing. Your tip history, UPI details, and transaction data are NOT sent to or stored on TipsAlert servers. There is no cloud synchronization involved.
3. Android Permissions
The TipsAlert Android companion app requires Notification Access solely for the purpose of detecting tip-related alerts from supported UPI applications. This data is processed locally and sent only to your paired desktop application over your local WiFi network. TipsAlert does not request or use SMS permissions.
4. No Sale of Data
Since we do not collect your tip data, we do not sell, rent, or trade any such information. Your privacy is protected by the architectural design of the software.
5. User Responsibility
As TipsAlert operates locally, users are responsible for securing their own devices and local networks. Ensure your firewall and network settings are configured correctly to prevent unauthorized access to your local alert server.
